(Can we write the light print nomenclature as PSN on the DGD?)
Q.
The blue pages carry bold print (dark print) names to describe the name of the dangerous goods. The blue pages also have thin light print names. If a shipper place the PSN with light print names on DGD, will the airline reject the shipment? (29 Oct 10)
A.
DGD must always be Dec ared by the PSN. All dangerous goods must be Dec ared by their PSN. This is clearly spelled out in DGR 4.1.0.1 and DGR 8.1.3. The thin light print is an explanation or definition of the dangerous goods and they are not PSNs.
