Effective with the 52nd Edition DGR, a new set of Cargo-IMP codes ?iELI/ELM/RLI/RLM?jhave been assigned to Lithium Batteries. When shipping Lithium Batteries under Section I of the applicable Packing Instruction as Class 9, do we have to show these new C-IMP codes on the NOTOC form instead of the code RMD? (31 Jan 11)

The established rule is to show the new Cargo-IMP codes on the NOTOC forms. However, if the new C-IMP codes are not advised to the PICs, misunderstandings May arise which May result in a delay. It is advisable to ascertain that the PICs are aware of the new codes. If your company is providing ground handling services to other airlines, unless advised to the contrary, you must be using the new C-IMP codes on the NOTOC forms.
