(Who will receive the AWB Fee when a Pre-Printed AWB is issued?)
Q.
When an AWB with the Carrier Name pre-printed is issued instead of a Neutral AWB, who will be the recipient of the AWB Fee? (31 May 11)
A.
Whether it is a Neutral AWB or a Pre-Printed AWB, the AWB Fee will be the income of the party who completes the AWB. AWB Fees for Master AWBs issued by the IATA Cargo Agent on request from the shipper will become the income of the IATA Cargo Agent. The fee is entered in the OTHER CHARGES BOX on the AWB as AWA 210 (in case of exports from Japan quoted in JPY).

AWB Fees for House AWBs issued by the consolidator will become the income of the consolidator.

AWB Fees for Counter AWBs issued by the airline staff at the Airline Cargo Acceptance Counter becomes the income of the Airline. The fee is entered in the OTHER CHARGES BOX on the AWB as AWC 210 whether the AWB is Neutral or Pre-Printed.

AWB Fees will become the income of whoever completes the AWB. It is not governed by whether the form is Neutral or Pre-Printed.

Refer to TACT Rules 4.4 and 6.1.19.f.

The language ?gissues or completes the AWB?h stated in TACT Rules 4.4 means ?gwhoever completes the AWB?h and does not have any reference to the AWB format whether Neutral or Pre-Printed.
