(US FAA rules for recurrent training)
Q.
Employees of US flag carriers must abide with the Code of Federal Regulations Title 49 (49 CFR). What is the required period for recurrent training? (11 Jan 04)
A.
For cockpit crew, the US Government requires a 12-month recurrent training per 14 CFR Part 121.433a. The enforcement office of the US Government for hazardous material handling is the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Not only employees of US flag carriers but all airlines who fly to the United States and all shippers, forwarders and cargo agents who ship or handle dangerous goods destined or transit through the United States must abide with the requirements of US State Variation USG-01.
