(Question on DGR 9.3.4.3 Loading of Cargo Aircraft.)
Q.
Please advise whether my interpretations are correct or otherwise.
9.3.4.3 The requirements of 9.3.4.1 (a), (b) and (c) and 9.3.4.2 do not aply to;

Class 3 PG III other than those with a sub-hazard of 8.
Does this mean Class 3 PG III and Class 3 (8) both qualify for this exception?

Division 6.1 with no subsidiary hazard other than Class 3.
Does this mean Div. 6.1 and Div. 6.1 (3) both qualify for this exception?

Kindly adise.  (30 Apr 22)
A.
When loading on CAO aircraft, 9.3.4.1 (a), (b) and (c) and 9.3.4.2 must be followed.
Exceptions are those mentioned in 9.3.4.3. There are a total of six bullet points.

Second bullet point says; “Class 3 PG III other than those with a sub-hazard of Class 8” which means that if Class 3 PG III has a sub-hazard of Class 8, you will need to follow 9.3.4.1 (a), (b) and (c) and 9.3.4.2. If the sub-hazard is not Class 8, the shipment qualifies for the exception.

Third bullet point says; “Div. 6.1 with no sub-hazard other than Class 3” which means Div. 6.1 must not have any sub-hazard (except Class 3) to qualify for the exception. “Other than” means “Except”.
