(Question on DGR 7.1.7 Marking of Overpacks.)
Q.
DGR 7.1.7.1 reads: Unless all marks representative of all dangerous goods in the overpack are clearly visible, the overpack must be marked with the word “OVERPACK”. This word OVERPACK must be markcd for non-visible closed overpack.
Now, I have an open overpack (i.e. a few packages bounded together on a wooden pallet), do I need to mark the word OVERPACK on it? Kindly advise.  (30 Apr 22)
A.
If you cannot see the marks and labels on the packages in the second row because the first row is obstructing, you need to mark the open overpack as OVERPACK.
