(A question on how to enter a technical name in brackets for Environmentally hazardous substance.)
Q.
When shipping a Sealant as UN3077 Environmentally hazardous substance, solid, n.o.s., the technical name of the chemical contents of the sealant requires 115 letters which is too lengthy and cannot fit into our system. We are seeking means to substitute the lengthy technical name to something far shorter.
We are referring to SP A215 as means to use a shorter description. Please gvve us your wisdom.  (31 Oct 21)

Indeed, 115 lettes is a lengthy technical name. You must have an army of chemicals in your sealant. There are ways and means to shorten the entry by using only the name of a predominant substance, or use the description of the product, or use the purpose of the article.

SP A215 is saying, shippers may use existing proper shipping names such like “Paints” or “Perfumery products”. Based on the same reasoning, you may use:
*(Predominant substance)
Environmentally hazardous substance, solid, n.o.s (Bisphenol, etc.)
*(Description)
Environmentally hazardous substance, solid, n.o.s. (Reaction product)
*(Purpose)
Environmentaly hazardous substance, solid, n.o.s. (Sealant)

If needed, you may have the 115-letter technical name readily available.
