(A question on DGR 5.0.2.11 (c), chemicals packed with infectious substances.)
Q.
DGR 5.0.2.11 (c) states it is permissible to pack together with UN 2814 or UN 2900, substances of Class 3, 8 or 9 in small quantities as long as they are so permitted in the Packing Instruction. DGR 5.0.2.11 (c) only mentions about PI 620. However, if you take a look at PI 650 which is for Category B, it says at the bottom of Special Reuirements that quantities not exceeding 30mL of Class 3, 8, and 9 may be packed together with UN 3373. We are wondering why 5.0.2.11 (c) referred only to PI 620?  (29 Feb 20)
A.
Yes, indeed, DGR 5.0.2.11 (c) only addresses PI 620. I think this is a typo error.

PI 620 for UN 2814 and UN2900, the Categry A’s, fit into PI 620 where under Additional Requirements you see the small quantity permission for Class 3, 8 and 9. With PI 650 Category B, in Special Requirements you see the same permission. I gather IATA missed to spot this error.
