（Need clarification on the Net Quantity of Lithium Batteries in PI 965 through PI 970.）

PI 965 through PI 970, with the exception of PI 965 Section IB and PI 968 Section IB, the Packing Instructions indicate that the quantity of lithium batteries is the “NET QUANTITY per package”. Does this mean the limit is the “net weight” of the lithium batteries alone and does not include any other weights? On the other hand, for PI 965 Section IB and PI 968 Section IB, the limit is indicated in “Gross Weight”. Does this mean that the limit is the total weight of the completed package? (30 Sep 14)

Yes, with the exception of PI 965 Section IB and PI 968 Section IB which are the gross weight of the package, all the net quantities shown in PI 965 through PI 970 are the net weight of the lithium batteries packed inside the package.
Effective January 1, 2015, the gross weight of PI 965 Section IB and PI 968 Section IB will both be changed to NET WEIGHT thus gross weight indication in the blue pages will only be applicable for LTD QTY packages the limits being 30kg G.
