DGR 22.214.171.124 states for Wheelchairs with removable lithium batteries, the batteries must not exceed 300Wh or if fitted with two batteries for operation, each battery must not exceed 160Wh. What is the permissible battery capacity if the battery cannot be removed? What about for the batteries for other wheelchairs dealt in 126.96.36.199 and 188.8.131.52? (31 Jul 14)
In all cases, with the Wheelchairs with non-removable lithium batteries (DGR 184.108.40.206), the Wheelchairs with batteries dealt in DGR 220.127.116.11 and with the Wheelchairs with batteries dealt in DGR 18.104.22.168, ICAO/IATA has not yet determined on the safe and acceptable limits of the batteries. ICAO/IATA is trying to establish a Wh limit that will provide sufficient power for the user.
