SP A191 applies to UN 3506 Mercury contained in manufactured articles. It says the toxic label and an indication of a toxic subsidiary risk are not necessary when the mercury contents does not exceed 5kg. May the shipper take this as his option. Or is this SP mandatory? (30 Jun 13)
A.
No if the shipper wishes to apply the 6.1 label and show 6.1 as a subsidiary tisk on the DGD then that is their choice, although why would they do that when it is not needed.
