Foot and Mouth disease virus is, without a single question, UN 2900 Infectious substance, affecting animals and it is non-curable.

Refer to DGR Table 3.6.D under UN 2900. If there is any doubt, Special Provision A140 will apply. Thence the shipment must be Dec ared as UN 2900 Infectious substance, affecting animals (suspected Category A infectious substance).

When entering PSN on the outer packaging, the words inside the parenthesis May be abridged. Waste material of Foot and Mouth Disease is also UN2900. Refer DGR 3.6.2.5.

UN 3373 is used for curable diseases, and must not be used for Foot and Mouth Disease.
