(A passenger purchased a Chain Saw and wants to carry it as baggage.)
Q.
A passenger purchased a Chain Saw and wants to carry it as baggage. It is in the original vendor?fs package and was never been used. Can it be accepted as baggage?  (31 Oct 11)
A.
If the chain saw is new, and never been used, and is packed in the vendor?fs original packaging, there would be no chance for unused fuel remaining or batteries being installed. It can be carried as non restricted goods depending on baggage rules of that airline. It is advisable that advance consultation be made at time of reservation or at time of check-in.
