(Question on U Dec ared or Mis Dec ared dangerous goods. What does ?gthe State in which this occurred?h (found in DGR 9.6.2) mean?)
Q.
We have a question on U Dec ared or Mis Dec ared dangerous goods. How should we interpret ?gthe State in which this occurred?h found in DGR 9.6.2? (31 Aug 10)
A.
Rules with dangerous goods are generally on an Origin principle. DG discrepancies with a cargo shipment are cust Mar ly found on arrival, but the symptoms had been existing from Origin. Passenger baggage DG discrepancies existed from the time the passenger boarded the flight no matter where the discrepancy was discovered.

The term ?gthe State in which this occurred?h should be best interpreted as the origin of the cargo or the boarding place of the passenger. Report to the State of the operator must also not be ignored.
