TACT RULE 3.6.2 carries rules on precedence of SCRs. However just following the headline there is the following words in parenthesis, ?gNot applicable between countries in the ECAA, to/from Australia and between the USA and the ECAA?h. How should we calculate the airfreight charges for shipments to/from USA and ECAA? (30 Nov 10)

When applying the SCR for shipments to/from USA and to/from ECAA, you should not use the TACT rates in determining SCR precedence. Both the United Stations and the European Union regard IATA-fixed airfreight charges and various handling charges as violation of the Anti-Trust Law. Therefore, all American carriers are setting up their individual rates and charges and publishing them in the Information by Carrier section in the TACT RULES Book Section 8.
