(I have a question on UN1104 Amyl acetates Class 3 PG III.)
Q.
My question pertains to UN1104 Amyl acetates Class 3 PG III. Our supply source has measured the Flash Point of the liquid and reports that it was 67℃. Since the Flash Point is more than 60℃, we feel the liquid is not restricted, but our supply source insists that since a UN number is assigned the liquid is still to be classified as Class 3.

We believe the liquid is no longer Class 3 and should be treated as “Not Restricted”. Pleaseadvise who is corrct? (30 Nov 19)
A.
If the Flash Point is more than 60℃, the liquid is no longer classified as Class 3. It is therefore incorrect to assign a UN number. Does the supply source have some other reason?
