We do not have a 4 litre inner packaging on hand. We have a UN specification outer packaging of 4 litre capacity. Is it permissible to use this 4 litre UN specification outer packaging as an inner packaging? (31 Mar 15)
A.
As long as the packaging material conforms to the requirement of the Packing Instruction in question, you may use a UN specification outer packaging as an inner packaging. The UN specification packaging is more expensive than a standard inner packaging but if the situation so dictates, you may use the UN specification packaging. UN specification packaging is more sturdy and will be welcomed.
