(When making an ?gAll packed in one?h package, where the rule about that PAX packages and CAO packages must not be mixed?)
Q.
When making an ?gAll packed in one?h package, you must not mix PAX packages with CAO packages. The ?gM?hs must be all from one group. Please guide us where such rule is written? (31 Aug 10)
A.
DGR 5.0.2.11 (g) states: ?gwhere n1, n2 etc. are the net quantities per package of the different dangerous goods and M1, M2 etc. are the maximum net quantities per package for these different dangerous goods according to the List of Dangerous Goods, for passenger or cargo aircraft, as applicable.?h In DGR 5.0.3.2 (a), it clearly states M is the maximum quantity per package of LTD QTY. IATA intends to clarify and May be able to insert some additional explanation in the Training Programme Book 1 that PAX packages and CAO packages must not be mixed. The reason is that the outer packagings of a PAX package and a CAO package are not in common. This is the same with EQ packages and LTD QTY packages where the outer packagings are not common.
